Jerry and Sue McIntosh, Owners

Jerry is an RN with over 40 years’ experience in Health Care Administration. Jerry and Sue arrived in Albany in 1994 where Jerry assumed responsibility for Clinical Services at Albany General Hospital.

When Sue and Jerry came here they brought Jerry’s mother and both of Sue’s parents. They lived together in a farmhouse on the outskirts of town. Sue and Jerry gained first-hand knowledge of the challenges of caring for seniors as their parents advanced through the aging process.

Testimonials

These are amazing homes that radiate with love, warmth and genuine caring. Our loved one and all of the extended family members were blessed at these facilities. A 5 Star accommodation that exceeds the larger facilities due to it’s friendly, personal warmth. Check it out for yourself. For me, it was an answer to prayer. I had been at the Nursing Home route, and large memory care facility. This stellar small group home offers more!

The girls who cared for my wife were all very good. They were sensitive to what she needed, particularly during her emotional times. They would sit on the couch next to her and hold her hand and help B through her confusion. I also appreciated the fact that there were only a few different people working with B so it was easier for her to get familiar with the staff. I don’t know that there is anywhere else where she could have received the level of care and compassion she received at Anna’s House.”

"My mother received tender loving care at Anna’s House. My family and I were very pleased. Rona especially was such a dear. She helped mom paint her fingernails. Grooming was always very important to mom, even to the end. Despite her aging condition, mom was always treated with dignity, like a human being. That was very important to me personally."

"My dad had a fall earlier this year. The experience was hard for me personally. We had to take him to Urgent Care for evaluation and treatment. The staff at Anna’s House went above and beyond the call of duty. Dad was cared for promptly and recovered well. I appreciate the staff because they build a nice relationship with the residents. It’s not just about being cared for, it’s about compassion and making sure the resident is comfortable."

"You will be comfortable with the homelike setting and atmosphere. The residents are all cared for by trained and competent personnel. The staff to resident ratio is excellent. Someone is always awake at night, and you can drop in for a visit most any time."
